A blast of stinging wind hits me
It’s Whitney. She hates me…
She walks in the door
Swaggering slowly
She has at least…three boyfriends

Whitney sits down
Takes out a piece of paper
She starts scribbling on it,
She finishes, folds it neatly and…
Passes it to me.
It can’t be good,
They never are.

This is what it reads:

Hi Poop Face,

What are you doing tonight?
Probably hanging out with your gay boy friends. I see your face going red, what? Did I guess right or something?
I wrote this whole note just to tell you this. You are the fattest, stupidest, cretin in the whole world!

PS: You smell like dung!

I crumple the paper
Turn and see Whitney’s horrible sneer
Fighting back tears
All of frustration and terror

End of the period,
The bell rings
I am caught in the river of people in the hall.
Everyone
So loud
It closes in on me
Making me feel…so small
So unimportant
So stupid and useless
