Take a Stand! Lend a Hand! Stop Bullying Now!

Hitting. Social exclusion. Mean emails. Name calling. These are all forms of bullying - aggressive behavior that is intentional, repeated over time, and involves an imbalance of power or strength. Children and youth who identify themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LCBT), or are perceived to be so, can face unrelenting bullying by their peers. Stop Bullying Now! is here to help. Funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Stop Bullying Now! is a national campaign dedicated to preventing and raising awareness about bullying among "tweens," pre-teens ages 9-13 . Follow the link below for information on bullying and access to bullying resources.

Stop Bullying Now!

In addition to animated videos and games, the Stop Bullying Now! Web site offers resources designed specifically for family members,
youth advisors, youth, educators, mental health, health and safety professionals. "Bullying Among Children and Youth on Perceptions and Differences in Sexual Orientation" is a tip sheet that discusses how you can help support gay and lesbian children and youth who are being bullied.

For more information on bullying visit www.stopbullyingnow.hrsa.govand to order an SBN! Activities Guide and SBN! DVD Toolkit, please email Nicolle Grayson at Nicolle.Grayson@widmeyer.com.
